Some projects completed
With the yarn I had left over from my blanket I decided to make some flowers. Actually, a lot of flowers. and I had no clue what to do with them all. So, I decided to just make headbands with them all (except for a pair of earmuffs). They ended up looking kinda hippie/flower child, which I really liked. They’re super cute. I just don’t know if I need 7 crochet flower headbands. Oh well, maybe I can find some people to give them to. :)
Lots and lots of pretty flowers…
I made 5 headbands like this. Just a few flowers attached to a plain crocheted band. I just chained long enough to fit around my head and then did one row of single crochet for the band.
And then I made two of these! They are my favorite. The flowers go all the way around. They really make a statement and are sooo adorable. Love them!
I also made these earmuffs. They look really cute but just aren’t very sturdy. I’m not really sure how to fix that. I took a skinny plastic headband I had and crocheted a band to go over it and then attached it to the flowers.
If your wondering how I made the flowers, I just found a youtube video on how to crochet flowers. It’s really simple.
I’m not sure if that’s the same video I used, but it’s pretty much the same thing :)
I also made this case for my sunglasses. This was verrrry easy. I just chained long enough to fit the width of my sunglasses, then double crocheted the rows and made it twice the length of my sunglasses and then sewed up the sides. I went back and threaded some blue yarn throughout it just to make it more interesting. And that’s it. pretty simple.
